Your Diet and Mental Health

11/20/2020, By Valerie Ang

Happy Friday! Studies have shown, diet is as important to #mentalhealth as it is to physical health. Eating a nutritious and healthy diet can help with symptoms of depression and anxiety, improve your energy levels and brain power, increase your ability to concentrate and handle stress, enhancing your overall sense of well-being Some ways to incorporate a #healthydiet to your busy workdays: 1. Have a decent breakfast. 🥚🍞🧀🥑 Try eating a healthy breakfast of live probiotic yogurt with honey, wholegrain cereal, and wholemeal toast or a boiled/poached egg, nut butter, or cheese. 2. Eat healthy at Lunchtime. 🥬🥕🥗 Try to bring in something healthy with fresh ingredients. Choose multi-coloured, appetizing, and yummy tasting salads. Dark green leafy vegetables, nuts, seeds, and legumes- such as beans and lentils, are excellent brain foods. 3. Watch what you drink the whole day. 🧉🍵☕️ Drink lots of water throughout the day. One or two cups of tea or coffee per day is okay. Just remember that caffeine can also dehydrate the body and raise your stress levels. Try to avoid energy drinks and fizzy drinks, which can be very high in sugar. 4. Have some healthy snacks. 🍇🍐🍓 If you want a quick snack, nuts and fruits are a great alternative to chips and sweets. These are full of fibre and take longer to digest, keeping you satisfied and full longer. Incorporating a healthy diet into your workdays could lead to a happier, healthier, more energetic, and fulfilling career. Cheers to your health, your wellness, and your career success! #careerağility #careerağilityinternational #healthydiet #mentalhealth #wellness #careerstrategy #careersuccess
